Original Painting – “Cladoir”

£225.00

“Cladoir Sheep” are a small white face breed of sheep which were once common in South Connemara. They were kept mainly for their wool which was very fine and suitable for spinning and weaving. They are recognisable with their narrow shoulders and a white narrow face. They got their name as they spent much of the time grazing on the seashore of the west coast or Ireland. Cladoir is an Irish word which means shore dwelling.

This delightful portrayal has been created by Marie-Claire using acrylic paint on canvas and measures 46cm x 46cm.

It is supplied expertly framed in a stunning contemporary frame.
